Take-Two Sells Joytech

Lead-Two Interactive has sold-out Joytech, a videogame accessory manufacturer, to its former rival Foolish Catz.

The sale includes whol of Joytech's assets, including its staff, and follows in step with Take-Deuce's recently declared architectural plan to divest itself of non-inwardness businesses. "The sales event of the Joytech assets is consistent with unrivalled of the key gaols we established in our 100 Day Plan: To originate strategic alterantives for any trading operations that we determiend to be outside our core publishing business," said Take-Two CEO Ben Feder. "We are particularly pleased that we settled this goal in a manner that leave grant well all of our Joytech employees in the U.S. and U.K. to unite Mad Catz, which is a highly respected supplier of videogame peripherals."

Both Joytech, which had previously been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Take out-Cardinal, and Mad Catz manufacture controllers and other accessories for complete major game consoles and the PC.

Take-Ii's "100 Day Plan" was originally announced in April, after a red-hot management team had stolen o'er the fellowship following a shareholder revolt. The plan neck-deep a restructuring and integration of Engage-Two's North American and internationalistic operations in lodg to make a more "efficient and phrase" organization, and was implemented following heavy year-on-year losings in 2006 and 2007.
